A Place to Belong, Connect and Grow.
GYM Youth Programs provide free opportunities for children and youth to connect, try new things and build meaningful relationships. Programs take place after school, during evenings and on weekends at the mâmawêyatitân centre and are designed to create welcoming spaces where every young person can participate and experience success. Throughout the year, young people can take part in sport and recreation, wellness activities, cooking, art, cultural programming, camps, clubs and other hands-on experiences. Our programs continue to evolve based on the interests and voices of the young people who participate.
At the heart of every program are relationships. High school youth are employed as mentors and program leaders, creating an intergenerational environment where younger participants learn alongside older youth they know and look up to.

More Than a Program
From after-school wellness and recreation to sport, cooking, art, culture, construction, cooking and other hands-on clubs, GYM creates opportunities for young people to explore their interests, try something new and discover what they enjoy. Programs are built around relationships, mentorship and shared experiences.
High school youth often work alongside younger participants as mentors and program leaders, creating opportunities for connection across ages and allowing younger youth to see leadership modelled by people from their own community.
Youth voice helps shape what happens at GYM. As interests change and new opportunities emerge, our programming evolves alongside the young people who participate.
